Food, Inc documentary about America's industrialized food system

My husband and I watched this documentary last weekend. Food, Inc. exposes America’s industrialized food system and its effect on our environment, health, economy and workers’ rights. You can read more about the issues here.

Over at the Simple Living Network forums I learned of similar-themed documentary called Fresh that focuses more on re-inventing the food system and positive change. If you browse their website you can check to see if there’s a screening of the film in your community.

    I was already in the proccess of changing our lifestyle..but this definitely sped it up.

    These documentaries are so revealing. Not only do they educate and bring awareness to what large companies are really up to, they do it fearlessly and usually without bias. Getting the actual facts and bringing them to the public is so important. It gives people the chance to make informed decisions about what they feed their families.
