handmade boys coat and pants on Etsy

Lil Elephants designs and creates handmade clothing for children from 12 months through 6 years. These khaki pants with orange accents and the coordinating denim jacket are my favorite pieces in her shop. They look very stylish yet durable. If you like to plan ahead for Spring you should grab this jacket while it’s on sale!

handmade personalized name plate on Etsy

Ninainvorm’s shop is so bright and cheerful! I first noticed Nina’s work on B:Kids and read about her favorite things on decor8. To make these personalized name plates, Nina applies screenprinted images and hand-cut letters to a beautiful vintage plate. The plate is then fired in Nina’s kiln at a high temperature so they can be used daily at mealtime.

handmade waldorf doll on Etsy

One day while browsing the Etsy forums, I stumbled upon Whittier Woodlands Creations where you’ll find Waldorf-inspired gifts made of natural materials. This handmade Waldorf doll is so adorable with her red and white gingham dress!

  1. I adore that boys jacket - perfect for fall!

  2. That doll is just too cute! Love the long curly hair!

  3. We are huge fans of Lil Elephant!! Check out her darling Fiest Skirt that can be worn all year long!

  4. The Waldorf doll is adorable. It has a sweetness-of-spirit we want for our little ones. Speaking of dolls, have you heard about the new Ken doll in Mattel’s Barbie line? It’s horrible! It’s called the “Palm Beach Sugar Daddy Ken Doll.” Just what every little girl wants, huh?

Seriously, what little girl wants an old-man-with-grey-hair-dressed-in-pastels-doll? We know “Sugar Daddy” infers a big age disparity between an elderly man and a young woman who is being kept financially for sexual favors. This is not going to help Mattel’s already ethics-plagued reputation — I’m talking about all those millions of toy recalls and its continuing lead-tainted toys from China. Ethic Soup blog has a a really good post on Mattel at:

The post on the new Sugar Daddy doll is at:
