Dandelion Yellow as Gold

What do you do all day?
I wait and I wait in the tall green grass
Until the children come to play
And they pick me up
With their gentle hands
And blow my hair away!
My son has been singing this song from his circle time at kindergarten and I thought I’d share it with you since it’s so cute. These are the words he remembered, but I did a quick search and found a longer version. Now that I think of it, this is the one I remember from circle time at the end-of-year picnic from last year (the same circle songs are repeated each year!).
Some good news also - my dandelion wish letterpress card was featured in the Spring 2009 issue of Stationery Trends that will be circulated at the upcoming National Stationery Show!

Such a sweet card, and it’s nice to have the little song and the link…I posted this today in a little mediation on all the wonderful crafty moms our there. Love your work – such nice translations of childhood photos that have a deep familiar feel about them.
what a lovely card! my son has been picking handful upon handful of dandelions for me every time we are outside. so sweet, although i think i prefer a drawing of one to the real thing ;)
I loved your blog!! An eco baby is something actual and usefull!
