Twitter crush
I am loving Twitter. { Psst…you can find me @sweetbeets } I actually closed out my facebook account because I always felt guilty about not updating it. Twitter is so much easier to use in my opinion, especially with TweetDeck which allows me to organize all the tweets of people I follow into groups and keep up with @replies.

Through Twitter I discovered Ukoonto eco-friendly maple building blocks that are handmade in Canada by Hans. He recycles cutoffs from a large wood factory to create high quality wooden toys. The set of 50 wooden building blocks is the first Ukoonto product, and I’m following @ukoonto to see what Hans creates next.

Also via Twitter, I’ve been following @smidgeboxdesign as Lesley has been gearing up to launch her Etsy shop. As of May 1st, Smidgebox is open and you’ll find ready-made and custom soft blocks handmade with colorful designer fabrics and a selection of tote bags that feature a unique peek-a-boo applique. Smidgebox designs are made in Canada and custom requests are welcome (be sure to check out Lesley’s flickr portfolio for ideas!).
