leg huggers for baby

Sue of Raspberry Kids carries these adorable Leg Huggers and very kindly arranged to have Agoo send a sample to me. Agoo is a Canadian company that offers a line of kids activewear including these baby leggings.

Since I figured my youngest son wouldn’t thank me if I put Fantastic Fuschia on him, I decided to pass along the sample to my nieces who we visited last weekend. To be honest, I wasn’t sure what age Leg Huggers are meant for, and perhaps it is on purpose that there is no size on the packaging. I thought they would be too big for my youngest niece who is about 18 months old (though now that I see all the product shots on Agoo’s website clearly they are meant for toddlers!) so I gave them to my 4 year old niece. She was absolutely thrilled with her new Leg Huggers! And it was perfect because at the time she was wearing a pink tutu with bare legs and it was cold outside. Leg Huggers are made with 100% bamboo fibers and the fabric is super soft and (obviously!) very stretchy.

While browsing the company’s blog, this dress caught my eye. I hadn’t heard of a “sports dress” before, but that term fits perfectly since the styling combines comfort with a touch of fancy. The built-in ruffled bottom is a sweet detail, and don’t the Leg Huggers look cute with it too? As a mom, I love that the fabric is stain-resistant and offers UV protection, not to mention all the other features of Agoo’s signature fabric. By the way, they do have clothes for boys too!

  1. oooh Than you for the info!! I think leg huggers are meant for crawling little babies so they don’t scratch their knees… but for older ones I think it’s just looks pretty. (Though, I think it’s easier for older babies and toddlers to pull down their pants to peepee with leg huggers than wearing a full stretchy leggings.)

  2. These are great. I have a pair for my oldest daughter. She wears them while dancing or doing gymnastics. They kind of remind me of the leg warmers that everyone loved in the 80s to exercise in. Everything old is new, and this is certainly an interesting (and adorable) twist on fashion from over 20 years ago.
