leather shoes for kids

I forget how I stumbled upon WeeStep Shoes, but I’m glad I found this Canadian company because their NexStep shoes come in sizes up to 1.5 for older kids. It was easy to figure out the appropriate shoe size using their foot measuring guide and I love the convenience of shopping online.

Before purchasing I inquired about where the shoes are made and I received a prompt reply. I learned that the shoes are designed in Canada and made in Mexico.

Since the prices are in US dollars, I was concerned that the shoes would ship from the USA. But, I was thrilled to learn that the company ships domestically. This means that if you’re in the USA they ship from the USA and if you’re in Canada they ship from Canada. Yay for no duty and customs fees!

I’m really happy with the quality of these shoes. When my son tried them on for the first time he exclaimed, “I’m so tall now!” (The shoes have a thick sole.) My only surprise was that the shoes have laces (I imagined some sort of elastic closure as the bow of the laces is tucked inside the shoes in the images on WeeStep.com), but this is good motivation for teaching my son how to tie his shoes by himself. I guess I’d better get started on that….
