Over the holidays I was able to work on my new and improved Sweetbeets.com but I greatly underestimated the amount of time it would take. I’m switching to Magento and let me tell you it is not for the faint of heart! After a few initial glitches, I’m learning how Magento works and the new website is coming together nicely now. I’m so excited to ‘go live’, so stay tuned!

In other news, I had to deal with my first (that I know of) copycat. I was browsing Etsy.com last night and by chance I stumbled upon a listing that featured my exact giraffe. Fortunately, the seller removed the listing immediately after I contacted her.

That incident was definitely offset, though, with the discovery that Sweetbeets was featured on Print & Pattern today! Yay!! I’ve been reading that UK-based blog since it first started. You’ll find so much wonderful eye candy and inspiration there, not to mention it’s a great resource for keeping up with trends.
