Merchandising ideas for online children’s boutiques

I think the Nursery Design Guide at Tiny Décor is a very smart merchandising idea for online children’s boutiques, and I wanted to share some more examples from two other sites I discovered.
Above and below you’ll see how Caramel Baby & Child presents their clothing collections as “stories”. A customer need only hover over each item and click to go directly to a page where it can be purchased.
So often when browsing online children’s boutiques I see clothing is separated into categories (tops, pants, skirts etc) but you never see the big picture to put together an outfit. I love how you see coordinating shoes and accessories in the screenshots below. The last image is the storefront window display for the brick-and-mortar location of Caramel Baby & Child in London, UK.

Smallable is another online children’s boutique (this one is based in France) that uses the same merchandising idea for both clothing and room decor. Again, you can click on the image to go to a page where you can add all or individual items to your cart.

What a wonderful idea! It’s not much different than looking in a interiors catalog that has an entire room furnished, except you can get right to the items - I love it!
