Sweetbeets giveaway! {closed}

Sweetbeets eco-friendly cards are letterpress printed in Canada on recycled paper

I was surprised when a couple of people who read my blog told me that they didn’t realize that Sweetbeets is my stationery company! I guess this is a sign I should make it more obvious, and I’ve added links to the top right sidebar listing other places where you can find me online.

How would you like to win a selection of 20 Sweetbeets cards?

You’ll be all stocked up with eco-friendly, letterpress stationery for thank you notes and gift enclosure cards for future baby showers and birthdays. This prize has a retail value of over $75!

I’d love to expand the wholesale side of my business and thought I’d combine this Sweetbeets giveaway with a request for your help.

To be eligible for the giveaway, please leave a comment suggesting a retail shop you know that might be interested in carrying Sweetbeets. I’m looking for brick-n-mortar shops (with a physical location) in Canada, USA or International. Consider baby boutiques, gift shops, eco-chic boutiques and stationery stores, and if they have a focus on indie designed goods all the better! You can click here to see the current list of Sweetbeets retailers.

I’m going to take a bit of a break from blogging while I work on some new Sweetbeets designs that I plan to have available in September. When I return I’ll announce the winner!

:: leave ONE comment on this post with your name
:: suggest a shop you think is a good fit for Sweetbeets
:: the contest closes noon EST on Friday September 5th
:: the winner will be picked via random draw
:: the winner will be announced September 5th
:: the winner must claim prize by September 10th

Thank you in advance for participating. I’m looking forward to your suggestions!

  1. This is a great idea, I saw another blogger who did this same thing and she said its really helped her to get out there more with her products.

I live in Dawson Creek, BC (Canada) and there’s a great store in town that might be interested in looking at your items. Their name is “The Olde Creek Store”. Here’s their info http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=olde+creek+dawson+creek&fb=1&view=text&latlng=5272090245372225428 , hopefully you can contact them and work something out!

  2. I live in Bakersfield, CA USA and there is a baby boutique in town who does mostly consignment. They are called “Baby Me Beautiful Boutique” and here is their info:
    http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF8&oe=UTF-8&q=Baby+Me+Bakersfield&safe=active&ll=35.487511,-119.09729&spn=0.182265,0.256119&t=h&z=11&iwloc=A

Good luck! I’d love to know if something comes of it!!

  3. I think this is a great idea too. :)

I live in Bergen, which is the second largest city in Norway (I see from your list that you dont have any retailers here). I live close to a store called Mint. They have all kind of cool stuff, and a corner for paper art and stationary things. I think your items would be a great fit with the store.

They have a website too, not much on it (actually it says “More info soon to come…we promise!), but here it is: http://www.mintbergen.no/

    Good luck :)

  4. In Los Angeles there is a store called Pulp that I think your stuff would fit in perfectly! It gets a lot of traffic and they take a lot of pride in how they have the store decorated.
    goodluck!

  5. Firstly, love your blog. Very informative and fun.

I live in Toronto, like you and I love a store called Honeybunch (online and bricks and mortar). You know all about Nicole and you have also featured her store here on your blog. Sweetbeets would fit in perfectly.

Also, Chick Peas out in B.C- also mentioned here on your blog would be a good fit.

If I think of anymore - I would let you know.

    Rita

  6. what a smart idea! give something and get something!! i live in brooklyn nyc and there is a lovely store in my neighborhood called lion in the sun that woud LOVE your work - as well they should!
would love to win this prize!

  7. I live outside Washington DC and there’s a really cute store that I just visited in Ashburn (great area!). It’s both brick and mortar and online. It’s called Zazu - their website is here: http://www.shopzazu.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?display=home

Your work would fit in great!

  8. Your work is beautiful - the colours are so fresh and clear. I love the baby basket hanging in the tree - just divine.

I live in Melbourne, Australia. There is one shop here that immediately comes to mind. It’s called Zetta Florence and they import stationery from the US and Europe. Actually they have two stores now. http://www.zettaflorence.com.au

Good luck with increasing your wholesale distribution - what a clever way to do it too.

  9. I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who’s participated so far and shared some great leads!!

  10. I love your cards and I’ve already emailed your info on to my friends who own a baby boutique in Vancouver. They’re not very tech-savvy though so it would be great if you contacted them. The store is Bobbits for Kids in Vancouver on West 4th Ave. The owners are Caroline Sarich and Claire Robertson.

  11. LaDawn Austin Says:

What about big stores like Anthropologie or Urban Outfitters?

In downtown Mesa, Arizona there is a store called Domestic Bliss, with a side store called Baby Bliss. Definitely check them out as a potential vendor.

Your cards are ridiculously cool … makes me want to open my own store just to carry them :)

  12. Love love love your cards!!! They would be GREAT at this store called Isabean - it’s in Williston, Vermont. (Right near Burlington) They have the cutest clothes and little gifts and a few cards, but yours would be perfect there!!! Here’s their address ::

    Isabean
    11 Walnut Walk
    Williston, VT 05495
    (802) 288-9570

Good luck!!! I’m looking to increase wholesale for my cards as well - let me know how this works for you!!!

  13. Fabulous cards. Great blog. I live in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. There are a few places to try:

    Uranus Greeting Cards & Gifts
    356 5th Street
    Courtenay BC
    (250)334.4074

    Kradle’s Baby Boutique
    226 5th Street
    Courtenay BC

Also, have you heard of KaiKids based out of Toronto? Here is their website: http://www.kaikids.com/ The store is chalk-full of eco-friendly stuff.

Best of luck with getting your cards out there.

  14. There’s a natural baby store nearby my town in Pennsylvania called Momma’s Baby. They sell things online too, but the shop is located near Allentown, PA. Here’s their site:
    http://www.mommasbaby.com/

They have some handmade things so maybe they’d be interested in some of your cute stationary.

  15. I love your cards and i think (and they will be!) in Jonathan Wright and Company on Beverly blvd in los angeles. So excited!!

  16. Hi! I’ve been a big fan of your designs for a while now - what a great giveaway! I think you cards would fit in nicely at Honeybunch in Toronto. Nicole has an online children’s boutique, http://www.honey-bunch.com, and she recently opened a store in Toronto.

  17. What a fun giveaway! The prize is irresistible since I’m a fan of your beautiful designs (having found them via your Etsy shop). Your cards are magnificent and would be great in Kate’s Paperie — http://www.katespaperie.com/

  18. Booty Land, Seattle WA.

    http://www.bootylandkids.com/

    (lovely cards)

  19. Hi there! I have just the shop for you - Essentials in Northampton, MA (a college town). I live several hours away, but I make my husband get off the highway when we drive anywhere near there. Essentials sells beautiful paper goods including cards, stationery, wrapping paper, journals, jewelry, baby and kids’ items and lots of small “gifty” items. In fact the last time I was there I bought a few “welcome baby” cards - not because I needed them, but because they were so pretty I wanted to have them on hand. It’s not a huge store, but I somehow always spend at least an hour in here mulling my choices and ogling everything. They have a website (shopessentials.net) which I think is a mismatch for the shop as it doesn’t convey the cuteness of the shop and the friendliness of the staff. Hope to see your stuff there next time!

  20. Another option for the Vancouver (B.C.) area would be Belly and Beyond (4118 Main Street). I really love your cards!

  21. Natalie MacLean Says:

I am so happy to have stumbled upon this blog/Etsy store. I bought your cards just last week at Love Me in Halifax!

I would suggest the Cheeky Monkey in London, ON. They are expanding and are THE go-to cloth diaper place:
    http://www.cheekymonkey.ca/

They have a lovely boutique but I always felt that they were lacking cards in there. If you buy a baby gift, it just makes sense to have cards right there!

    I adore your work. :)

  22. I love your fresh style and clean, beautiful lines. I believe a great venue for your art would Peapods, a natural baby and child store in St. Paul, MN. They also have an online store with some of their select products.

Truly, your artwork is a breath of fresh air!

  23. Your images and colors are wonderfully fresh and exciting. There are lots of great stores in the Nashville, TN area that would probably love to carry your items, if they don’t already. One in particular is a favorite of mine and they are always looking for new artists to represent.

Gilchrist & Gilchrist Articles & Antiques
    2823 Bransford Avenue
    Nashville, tn 37204-3101
    615) 385-2122

Also, you may want to try Fire Finch in the Hillsboro Village area of town.

    Good luck!

  24. I just adore your cards and LOVE the framed photos of the cards as well! There’s a privately owned stationary shop in Portland called Ecru that I’m sure would be perfect for your beautiful cards!

    http://www.ecrupaper.com/

  25. There’s a new store in Princeton, NJ that features lovely green cards and stationary and kids’ products already, and is seeking new items. This link tells you a bit about the store:
