No-gift birthday parties for kids
I stumbled upon an article in today’s Boston Globe about the no-gift trend at birthday parties for children. Some parents feel that their kids already have enough stuff and it’s becoming more common to read “your presence is present enough” on birthday party invitations.
As discussed in the article, it’s a complicated issue! But ECOage offers an interesting option:
Guests are invited to an ECHOage birthday party online. Instead of bringing a wrapped and packaged present, guests simply rsvp and give a secure online gift of money. Payments are pooled for the purchase of ONE special gift and to support ONE meaningful cause.
