Bare Organics baby skin care and more
Canadian mompreneur Karen Kerk-Courtney began Bare Organics shortly after her first child was born. Her discovery that most “natural” and “organic” baby care products contain unsafe chemical ingredients prompted her to develop her own recipes for truly all-natural and organic skin care for her new baby.

The line of Bare Organics skin care products is made in Canada and includes baby soap, belly and baby oil, and a diaper spray which is used with their organic cotton bum wipes as an alternative to disposable wipes. Their organic baby balm (retail $12) provides an alternative to zinc-based diaper rash creams and is their best selling baby care product. The 3-pack of organic terry wash cloths retails for $10 and is their best selling baby care accessory. Bare Organics has expanded beyond skin care products and now also offers baby essentials such as bibs, hooded bath towels, receiving blankets, bedding and pajamas, all of which are made in Canada using certified organic cotton.
Bare Organics is based in Thunder Bay in Northern Ontario, which just happens to be where I grew up although I’ve never crossed paths with Karen. I actually have to thank my Mom for passing along the tip about Bare Organics after discovering them at a local market!
