Honeywear organic baby slings
If I had to recommend just one baby gear item for a new parent, it would definitely be a sling. It took me a few months to get used to my sling for my first child but I started carrying my second child in the sling when he was just 2 days old. I only wish there had been more stylish organic fabric options on the market 6 years ago!

With more and more new parents wanting only organic for their precious little bundles of joy, you’re probably already on the look out for new vendors of organic fabric baby slings. Consider Honeywear Baby Bee Slings made of luxurious dupioni silk or pure organic cotton and lined with 100% organic un-dyed cotton sateen. The pull cord system on the pouch and adjustable shoulder strap allows this one size fits all sling to be used in multiple positions for children from birth through 30 pounds. The slings also feature shoulder padding for comfort and a quick release buckle on the shoulder so that a sleeping baby can be transferred easily. All slings retail for $120 and are made locally in Asheville, North Carolina by seamstresses working for fair wages. Honeywear is founded by two mompreneurs in North Carolina and appears to have launched fairly recently. Wholesale inquiries are welcome.
